Penza, 2 January 2021. PenzaNews. Coronavirus was confirmed in 201 people in Penza region in the last 24 hours, including 68 children aged nine months to 17 years. This is stated in a message distributed by the press service of the regional government on Saturday, January 2.
It clarifies that 154 cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in Penza.
The text adds that 13 more cases of infection were registered in Bessonovsky area, 11 cases – in Kamensky area, seven cases – in Tamalinsky area, six – in Zarechny, five – in Issinsky area, three cases were registered in Penzensky area and two others – in Pachelmsky area.
According to the website, as of January 2, 2021, 26 445 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in Penza region since the beginning of the pandemic. The number of patients discharged from hospital reached 21 302. 323 deaths were registered.
