Penza, 16 March 2021. PenzaNews. The total coverage of the population with testing for COVID-19 exceeded 59% in the Penza region. This is stated in the message distributed by the press service of the regional government on Tuesday, March 16.

“The virology laboratory of the Federal State Health Institution ‘Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Penza Region’ examined 133 868 people and carried out 138 416 tests; the laboratories of the medical network examined 629 162 people, and carried out 674 193 studies,” the text specifies.

It notes that a total of 40 415 cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the region, including 115 in the last 24 hours.

“There are 7 233 people under observation,” the report adds.
