“Unfortunately, a low level of inoculation of the population, with only 9.89% of the people vaccinated, does not allow to talk about the regulation of the disease by means of immunoprophylaxis,” he said at a briefing held in the Penza region government on Friday, June 18.
Mikhail Perekusikhin emphasized that the immunization process was not proceeding at an adequate pace.
“There is a low coverage of employees of medical organizations, which makes up only 8.5% in the structure of the vaccinated, and a low coverage of personnel of educational organizations, which is only 3%,” the head of Rospotrebnadzor in Penza region said.
“The above circumstance determines the need to strengthen non-specific prevention of coronavirus with the introduction of additional restrictive measures, which will soon be discussed at the regional government headquarters,” he added.
