Penza, 13 October 2021. PenzaNews. More than 4 300 infectious disease beds are currently available in Penza region. This was said by governor Oleg Melnichenko during a meeting with the heads of the regions of Volga Federal District held by plenipotentiary representative of Russian President in Volga Federal District Igor Komarov in a video-conference on Wednesday, October 13.

“As of today, 4 309 infectious disease beds are available in 24 medical organisations, of which 2 328 are connected to oxygen,” said Oleg Melnichenko.

According to him, there are 12 PCR laboratories in operation, including seven in public health facilities.

“In Penza region, there are 75 points of vaccination against coronavirus. More than 30 inoculation teams and 6 mobile medical complexes were organized. The first shot of the injection was given to 480 671 people, and 440 939 people completed vaccination,” the press service of the regional government quotes Oleg Melnichenko.
