Penza Delegation took part in the Russian President's Council presidium meeting

Penza, 23 May 2011. PenzaNews. Delegation from Penza took part in the Russian President's Council presidium meeting, which was held in Pskov, on May, 23.
The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
The participants discussed such issues as social and economic development of the administrative centers the constituent entities which make up the Russian Federation. In particular it was touched the theme of strengthening the financial foundations of local government, transport system, school and preschool education.
Great attention was paid to the modernization of housing and utilities instructure including tariff policy, the problems of housing management, resettlement of people from the decrepit and unsafe housing and the question of the improvement of municipalities including reconstruction of courtyards.
Among the members of the meeting they were such politicians as Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, Regional Development Minister Viktor Basargin, Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin, as well as heads of the local government administrative centers of Russia, including Head of Penza city Ivan Belozertsev and Head of Penza Municipal Administration Roman Chernov.
