Penza, 30 May 2011. PenzaNews. The deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation delegated from the Penza region Ruslan Guljaev commented on the situation concerning discussion of the integrated law "About Education" and of the working at the new standards of the senior school.

Ruslan Guljaev said: "The theme of the new standards of the senior school has caused a wide public resonance and is used in unscrupulous political aims by our opponents. This theme is exaggerated; there are constantly the releases of unreliable information. Recently there was even a stream of publications in the Internet without any reasons. There was no reason for such publications at all".

According him the theme of education would be in focus of the public throughout all election campaign.

The deputy of the State Duma said: "It is good that the society paid attention to that. However the new standards of elementary school will come into force since September, 1. And when the pre-election year has begun, the theme of standards has been used and discussed in the political circles".

He said that at the time two versions of standards were being discussed.

Ruslan Guljaev said: "The so-called first version of the chief of publishers "Prosveschenie" Kondakov was put forward by Institute of strategic researches of the Russian Academy of Education. The second version of this standard was worked out by the same organization — by the Russian Academy of Education. It’s called "The version of Nikadrovsky". There are definite differences in them. Which of them will be the final one is not clear yet. There is a public discussion, authors react to remarks, but in a whole, in my opinion, all variants are similar to each other, there are some different interpretations, but they are not considerable. Many statements are similar and there is nothing catastrophic".

He explained that the adoption of the new standards of the senior school would occur not earlier than in 2020.
