Penza, 24 June 2011. PenzaNews. The new convocation of the Penza municipal duma will be formed by the mixed electoral system: 17 deputies will be selected by the one-mandatory districts, 18 ones — in accordance with the party lists. Such decision was made during the regular session on Friday, June, 24th.

Making comments on the decision of the deputies the mayor Ivan Belozertsev noticed that the given changes were accepted according to the requirements of the federal laws "About the basic guarantees of the suffrages and the rights to participate in a referendum of citizens of the Russian Federation" and "About the general principles of the organization of local government in the Russian Federation".

Ivan Belozertsev said that the following municipal duma elections would be planned in 2014.
