Penza, 5 August 2011. PenzaNews. The number of deputies of Legislative Assembly of the Penza region was increased by 36 persons according to requirements of the federal legislation in course of 40th session of regional parliament on Friday, August, 5th.

The chairman of regional parliament Alexander Guljakov said: "18 deputies will be selected at the one-mandatory election districts, the others — according to the proportional system: regional election district will be proportional to survey, the candidates of the Legislative Assembly submitted for lists put forward by selective associations". 

The chairman of Legislative Assembly said: "The matter is that now one deputy get 100 thousand population of district and taking into account that the quantity of districts will be increased each deputy will have 63 thousand persons that is much more convenient for work with voters".
