Penza, 21 October 2011. PenzaNews. Governor Vasily Bochkarev considers that poor are only those residents of the Penza region who do not want to work. The head of the region declared it during the discussion of the problem of low incomes and population unemployment at the session of Legislative Assembly of the Penza region on Friday, October, 21st.

Vasily Bochkarev reminded that during several years the government of the Penza region has been inviting labors from different regions: builders and road builders. Specialists of the Penza region do not want to work for money which is offered to them.

Vasily Bochkarev said: “People from other regions want to work in Penza. They get worthy wages for the work and are ready to work. But those who live in Penza, say that they cannot find good, highly paid job and still complain that they do not have money. But then, tell me, where people find ten and hundred thousand rubles which they spend on swindlers for ostensibly clearing of relatives of a criminal liability?”.

The Penza governor also touched upon the problems of low labor productivity and alcoholism.

The head of region said: “If the person does not have incomes, where does he find money to drink? I consider that people simply do not want to work, therefore labor productivity in region is the lowest”.
