Journalists from Penza took part in a seminar of Moscow school of political researches

Penza, 12 December 2011. PenzaNews. Journalists of news agency PenzaNews, radio station “Echo of Penza” and the newspaper “Street Moscow” took part in a seminar “Mass-media and society”, was held in Golitsyno of the Moscow Region on December, 8th-10th.

During three days Jeffrey Hosking, Mark Pomar, Arseny Roginsky, Vladimir Ryzhkov, Dzhoshua Prager, Maxim Trudoljubov, John Lloyd, Michael Fishman, Konstantin Sonin, Stefan Kandea, Roman Shleynov, Irina Yasin and Feodor Lukyanov performed for the employees of mass media from the different regions. There were about 150 persons, leading journalists and public figures at the seminar.

The evolution of the Russian journalism, independence of the press, methods investigatory journalism, interaction of mass-media and civil society and self-respect of Russians were discussed during the seminar.

Moscow school of political researches was organized in 1992 as non-governmental organization. Its main goal is to promote the development of democratic institutes and civil society in Russia.

The main task of school is to create the conditions to increase the level of civil consciousness in Russia. That’s why the school holds training seminars on the territory of Russia and abroad, publishes the books written by the experts of school, periodic bulletins, magazines and brochures according to the materials of seminars.
