The public reception of well-known Russian businessman Michael Prokhorov who submitted documents to the Central election committee of the Russian Federation for registration as the candidate for Presidency of Russia is opened in Penza on Monday, December, 26th. He said: “Today we solve organization problems. On Tuesday, December, 27th we will begin to work with the citizens. In a reception round-the-clock phone will be opened. Besides, creation of four mobile агитточек in a city is planned. Till January, 14th, basically, there will be a petition”.

He explained that it is necessary to collect 2 million signatures till January, 14th. They will be directed to the Central Electoral Committee to be checked. By January, 30th, 2012 they should make the decision on registration or refusal in registration of the candidate for Presidency of Russia.

Anton Dashkin informed: “If we get the positive decision we will start propaganda period and we will start to work with voters directly”.

Businessman Michael Prokhorov applied all documents to the Central election committee to announce his candidacy for Presidency of Russia, on December, 15th, 2010. Later he promised that public reception offices will be opened in all big cities of the country.

According to Michael Prokhorov, if he is the president of Russia he will hold the election in the State Duma again. The businessman took part in the oppositional meeting “For fair elections” which took place in prospectus of Academician Saharov in Moscow on Saturday, December, 24th.

According to the open sources, Michael Prokhorov takes the third place in the list of the richest people of Russia. He has approximately 18 billion dollars.

As the news agency PenzaNews informed earlier, 15 persons sent all documents to the Central Electoral Committee for participation in presidential elections of Russia on March, 4th, 2012. Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Gennady Zyuganov, Dmitry Mezentsev, Sergey Mironov, Svetlana Peunova, Michael Prokhorov, Vladimir Putin, Rinat Hamiev, Victor Cherepkov and Grigory Javlinsky passed primary registration.
