Penza, 10 January 2012. PenzaNews. The initiative group of the residents of Penza generated association “Civil control” which members set as the purpose to provide a transparency and legitimacy of presidential elections of Russia on March, 4th, 2012. The main purposes of the organization are the absence of supports of one of candidates and control over fair and open counting of votes.

The chief executive of fund “Grazhdansky Souz” Oleg Sharipkov said: “The citizens doubting legitimacy of last elections join this association, and become observers and provide correct counting of votes on polling district and thereby a voting procedure transparency, and not trusting neither the authorities, nor representatives of political parties”.

As he said, now the members of association carry on negotiations with all officially registered political parties that the last have given wishing possibility to become the observers of elections as representatives of one of them as “Civil control” is the nonparty organization.

Oleg Sharipkov said: “In the nearest future an association site will be started up. There will be two telephone lines and it will be possible to receive consultation and to register as the observer”.
