According to general director of “Institute of Independent Political Researches” Alexander Ulitin, in the first month 2012 there was an expected recession of commenting activity of Russian governors. The number of messages with citations of heads of the subjects reduced to a quarter. So those governors who did not have high indicators of information openness earlier got a chance to improve their positions in a rating.

“The head of Adygea Aslan Thakushinov is most significant on this point. He managed to become one of three leaders thanks to statements about official introduction into a post of the head of Adygea for the second term. This increase is situational and in February he is expected to loose positions in media rating,” Alexander Ulitin.

He added that governor of the Tyumen region taken the third place Vladimir Yakushev improved his positions in rating thanks to comments concerning creation of special economic zone in the region.

“The first line of media rating was taken by governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov thanks to his personnel initiatives. The governor has promised to abolish institute of vice-governors and declared project “Governor Staff - Your Choice,” he added.
