The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev criticized inactivity of Penza city officials regarding beautification and declared that he made serious political decision. "The city powers haven’t authority and aren’t engaged in snow removal. I made the decision to carry out personnel purge and a lot of those who are sitting in the hall will lose their positions," said Vasily Bochkarev told during the meeting concerning beautification which took place in Penza administration on Thursday evening, March 22.

The head of the region cited the situation when a car parked on the carriageway that is much narrowed by snowdrifts creates a huge traffic jam as an example.

"If you allowed to park there and didn't put a prohibition sign, then you should remove that snow to broaden the carriageway and not to create problems for drivers," noted Vasily Bochkarev.

According to him, new light supports established in Ternovka, have no design and don’t light the most of the road.

“There are leaky roofs in houses and snow isn't removed from them. People damn authorities. Snowdrifts are awfully dirty. The regional center looks worse than village Narovchat. I'm ashamed of Penza. The authorities are machine-room and it is necessary to leave it, go to the streets and to supervise beautification process," declared the governor.

Vasily Bochkarev once again urged the officials to mobilize all forces to defects elimination and charged to organize snow removal from the city at nights.
