Penza, 24 April 2012. PenzaNews. Preliminary vote to define candidates of Legislative assembly of the Penza region deputies elections of the fifth convocation should draw attention of all residents of the region. Ivan Belozertsev, the mayor of Penza and secretary of political council of Penza office of United Russia party shared such opinion during the meeting of regional coordination council of All-Russian people’s office on Tuesday, April 24.

“Legislative Assembly deputies elections are very important therefore all leading public men of cities and region areas should take part in primaries as well as ordinary residents of the Penza region” said Ivan Belozertsev.

He reminded about success of carrying out primaries on the threshold of elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in December, 2011.

“It was very difficult, but interesting. We were satisfied as people had a chance to state their point of view concerning various processes in Russia and problems of the region, to offer the program and I consider last preliminary popular vote very useful. We stirred up public opinion,” said the mayor.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, problems solution depends on deputies of Legislative Assembly.

“People’s deputies in State Duma are far from voters but residents can any time reach the deputy of regional parliament, raise serious questions and ask them to take part in solving these or those problems,” summarized Ivan Belozertsev.

Preliminary popular vote by definition of candidates for the subsequent their promotion in deputies of Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the fifth convocation will be held from June 1 to June 20, 2012 at 18 sites.

Results of primaries will be announced till June 30 then at meeting of regional political council of the party United Russia the list of candidates will be approved, thus both party members and representatives of public organizations and labor collectives will be included.

Elections of deputies of Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the fifth convocation are on October 14, 2012.
