“We will vote against this law as we support free elections, without any restrictions,” the deputy said.

In his opinion, the adoption of the law in this edition will lead to the fact that not people but the representatives of the “United Russia” party will choose the governor, because 99% of all the deputies in the region represent this party.

“In our opinion, it is necessary to provide opportunities for self-promotion with signature-gathering procedure. Or, candidates may be exempted from collecting signatures and nominated by parliamentary parties,” explained Georgy Kamnev, having emphasized that he expresses the CPRF position.

According to him, elections with the existing restrictions will weaken the power of authority.

“We are against municipal filters. People should have the right of choice,” said the deputy.

Speaking about candidature of the future governor, Georgy Kamnev pointed out that there is a problem connected with the political views.

“The person from the other party will never collect signatures of the deputies of the “United Russia” party. I’m not saying that there are only bandits in the “United Russia.” But a candidate in a particular area can buy votes of representatives of this party and become promoted,” Georgy Kamnev concluded.
