Ivan Belozertsev wins primary in Pervomayskiy district of Penza

Penza, 6 June 2012. PenzaNews. Head of Penza Ivan Belozertsev got a majority of votes at the United Russia primary in Pervomayskiy district of the city that took place on Tuesday, June 5.

There were 10 candidates participating in the preliminary public vote who had to present their own views on the future development of the region and Russia, in general, as well as show they deserved the honor to represent the interests of residents in the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region.

Ivan Belozertsev, deputy chair of the Penza City Duma Viktor Kuvaytsev, deputy of the City Duma Dmitry Lavrentiev, secretary of the Public Chamber of the Penza region and chief doctor of the children’s dental clinic Yelena Blaschuk, deputy head of Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Penza Passenger Transport” Oleg Shibayev, director of “Vanyushkiny Sladosti” LLC Nikolay Kuzyakov, individual entrepreneur Aleksandr Medkov, director of children’s arts school “Quinta” Lyudmila Samoylina and teacher of secondary school No. 69 from Penza Irina Glazkova spoke before the audience.

Head of the Department of Economics of the Penza State Agricultural Academy Natalya Zaruk, also listed as a participant of the primary, was unable to attend the vote for good reasons.

Voters could cast their ballots not only for one candidate but for any candidates they liked. In the end, the majority of voters supported Ivan Belozertsev. He got 152 votes in total. Dmitry Lavrentiev came second with 92 votes.

“The main advantage of the primary is that every resident of Penza can run as a candidate in the vote as well as the full transparency of primary elections,” the head of the city of Penza noted.
