Penza, 8 June 2012. PenzaNews. Governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev held a working meeting with director of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation Vasily Yakemenko on Friday, June 8.

As the press service of the regional government told news agency “PenzaNews,” one of the issues discussed during the meeting was the idea of organizing the work of a new federal project “The Party of Power” and its role in the political life of the country.

According to Vasily Yakemenko, Penza is the first city where he will meet with local residents to understand “whether there is any interest in the creation of a new organization.”

“It all depends on whether people will see any reasons for the creation of a new political association,” he noted.

Head of the region supported the guest’s idea noting that presently most young people aged 22-35 are removed from political life.

“We carry out youth activities at schools and universities. But after graduation young people stand aside: some start their own businesses, and others get jobs. It is necessary for us to devise ways to involve youth in these activities,” Vasiliy Bochkarev said.
