Vasily Bochkarev discussed preparations for Penza 350th anniversary celebration with Russian Minister of Culture

Penza, 19 June 2012. PenzaNews. Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky and Governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev discussed preparations for celebration of the 350th anniversary of the founding of the city of Penza at a working meeting in Moscow on Monday, June 18.

According to the press-service of the regional government, the parties discussed the issues related to the progress of implementation of the preparation measures for the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the founding of Penza in 2013, approved by Decree of the Russian government on October 17, 2010, in accordance with the decree of President of the Russian Federation.
“In particular, they talked about the construction of Penza regional Philharmonic Hall with a capacity of 750 seats, a concert hall with a capacity of 1,600 seats, discussed overhaul of Museum of Scientist and Historian Klyuchevsky, Ulyanov’s Museum Reading Room, and other cultural objects,” said the press service.
