Penza, 29 June 2012. PenzaNews. Improving the quality of public services, including the provision of most of them remotely, would enhance the image of power in the eyes of society. This was stated by the Governor of the Penza Region Vasily Bochkarev during a meeting with Authorized Representative of Russian President in Volga (Privolzhsky) Federal District on the question of efficiency of public administration, which took place in Penza on Friday, June 29.

“Our goal is to create a “service-state” in which the citizens could receive the vast majority of public services through the Internet, rather than waste hours at the doors of dozens of departments,” he stressed.

According to Vasily Bochkarev, a complete transition to electronic public services will allow the citizens to save time, avoid the corruption when processing documents, and to clarify any and all activities of government.

Meanwhile, the governor pointed out that in multi-service centers providing services to the population in the “single window” mode, there is a number of problems.

“At the moment, there are no unified standards of functioning of multi-service centers, and their funding is carried out by regional and municipal budgets, while their employees have taken over the part of services provided by federal departments,” pointed out Vasily Bochkarev.
