Penza, 4 July 2012. PenzaNews. Chairman of the Penza region Committee of physical culture, sports and tourism Grigory Kabelsky will switch over to the position at the Ministry of Sports of Russia from August 13, 2012.

“Grigory Kabelsky was suggested for the position of Head of Summer Sports Department. He will be the head of regional Sports Committee until August 5,” Deputy Chairman of the Penza region Committee of physical culture, sports and tourism Artur Panteleev told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He added that currently Grigory Kabelsky is attending the Forum “Russia – Country of Sports” in Yakutsk, where he will make a report on the creation of conditions for the development of youth sports and the training system for the reserve teams of the country.

“In late July, being part of the delegation of the Russian Olympic Committee, he will travel to London for the first part of the Summer Olympics to support Penza athletes and study the experience of the organization of a large-scale sports event of the last four years,” Artur Panteleev said.

The 2012 Summer Olympic Games will be held in London from 27 July to 12 August. It is planned that 10 Penza athletes will take part in the event.
