Penza, 6 July 2012. PenzaNews. Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, by 17 votes to 1, have decided to increase the monthly wages of the governor by 1.21 times and change the size of the annual lump sum money for health resort treatment from triple to sextuple.

As Head of the apparatus of the regional governor and government Viktor Rubtsov explained during the regular session of the regional parliament, funds for the implementation of this bill are budgeted in the Penza region in 2012.

“We have analyzed the income of heads of Russian regions in general and in Volga (Privolzhsky) Federal District, in particular. It turned out that our governor is one of the “cheapest” for the budget,” Viktor Rubtsov said.

The deputy from the Communist Party Georgy Kamnev supported the idea of increasing of the governor’s salary because it had not been increased for 4 years but noticed that the size of the annual lump sum money was too large.

Viktor Rubtsov explained that it was rather equation than boosting.

“We have established sextuple size of the sum while in one of the neighboring regions it is 12-tuple and in some 18-tuple,” said the head of the apparatus.

Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexander Gulyakov said that his salary and the salary of his two deputies is “tied” to the income of the governor.
