Penza, 6 July 2012. PenzaNews. Elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012. The decision was made by the members of the regional parliament at 48th session on Friday, July 6. According to the Head of the Legislative Assembly press service of the Penza region Marina Timokhina, the resolution takes effect from the date of adoption, and then the registration of candidates begins.

“The regional parliament of 5th convocation will consist of 36 members. 18 people are elected in single member constituencies, and the rest – at the regional constituency in proportion to the number of votes cast for lists of candidates nominated by electoral associations,” specified Marina Timokhina.
