Penza, 27 July 2012. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza Region Vasily Bochkarev vetoed the law of his salary indexation. This was put on “Twitter” by the head of the governor’s staff and the government of the region Viktor Rubtsov.

“The law is rejected, and hence is not coming into force,” underlined the official.

As news agency PenzaNews reported previously, the decision to increase the monthly remuneration of the governor in 1,21 times and to change the size of the annual lump-sum grant for spa treatment from threefold to sixfold was made by the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region with 17 votes “for” and one “against” during the regular session on July 6, 2012.
