Penza, 31 August 2012. PenzaNews. Human rights activist Yuri Voblikov was detained by the police at the administration building of Penza during a one-man-protest action against the current rates of housing and communal services on Friday, August 31.

“At the moment I approached the Board of Honor and Fame, where I intended to continue the action, I was surrounded by the police officers and offered to follow them. I complied with their requirements. When I stopped along the way, they pushed me with their hands,” stated Yuri Voblikov during the phone call from the police department No. 1 of Penza.

According to human rights activist, he has not been officially informed yet about the reasons of his detention.
