Commenting on Sunday's elections in the Penza region, Georgy Kamnev said that several violations of the electoral legislation had been registered.

“Several groups of so-called “go-rounders” were detained — one in the region and a few in the regional center. The records on the facts were submitted to the police and the Investigating Committee,” the deputy said.

He noted that in some areas of the Penza region illegal ballot planting and other violations were detected.

“For instance, there were cases of non-admittance of media representatives, and observers due to incorrect issuance of documents,” Georgy Kamnev added.

Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region confirmed that four bribed nonresidents of the Penza region were detained for an attempt of illegal voting in Penza at two polling stations located on Virazhnaya St.
