“The deputies of the State Duma from the Communist Party Vladimir Afonin and Yuri Simagin were leading in the regional party list, but gave up their seats in favor of other candidates, following them,” George Kamnev clarified in an interview to news agency “PenzaNews,” adding that his name was the third one on the list.

According to the first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, the second deputy's mandate was decided to be give to the representative of the regional group, on the territory of which the party has shown the best result during the previous election.

“Our party took 18% of the votes in Gorodischensky, Lopatinsky, Shemysheysky areas. This area is assigned to the regional group No.15, a member of which was Andrew Zuev,” Georgy Kamnev commented.
