Penza, 22 October 2012. PenzaNews. A meeting, organized by the members and supporters of the Communist Party of Russia on the results of the recent elections to the Legislative Assembly of the fifth convocation of the Penza region, was held in the square named after V. Belinsky in Penza on Saturday, October 20.

According to the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, about 200 people participated in the event, holding flags and banners that claimed: “October 14 — story is not over,” “No to capitalism! Yes to socialism,” “Polling station committees, bring back fair elections!”

However, according to the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the number of protesters did not exceed 70 people.

The member of the State Duma Vladimir Simagin, the leader of Penza communists Georgy Kamnev, the member of the Legislative Assembly of the region Andrei Zuev, the secretary of the city committee of the Communist party Svetlana Isaeva, the secretary of Oktyabrsky district committee of the party Dmitry Filyaev and others spoke out during the meeting hour.

At the end of the meeting, the participants adopted a declaration.

No public disturbance or emergency situations were registered during the mass action.
