Yuri Alpatov takes the oath of office of head of Penza

Penza, 26 October 2012. PenzaNews. Yuri Alpatov who was unanimously elected to the head of Penza during the regular session of the City Duma on Friday, October 26, officially took the oath of office.

In his opening speech to the deputies, the head of the representative body of power said that the new position for him is even more critical.

“However, I do not have to start scratch. The previous mayor of the city has established close cooperation with all the necessary structures and regional authorities,” Yuri Alpatov said.

According to him, he plans to focus on improving the living conditions of young and large families, as well as on solving transport problems, expansion of roads, construction of interchanges and parking areas.

“Special attention will be paid to the health sector,” Yuri Alpatov emphasized.

Yuri Alpatov was born in the town of Kirsanov, the Tambov region on October 16, 1949.

In 1974, he graduated from the Saratov Medical Institute in specialty General Medicine.

In 1975–1977, he served in the Soviet Army as a head of medical facility.

He began his career as a therapist in Penza City Hospital No. 1.

For over 25 years, he had worked in the Central City Hospital No. 6 named after G.A. Zakharyin.

Over the years, he served as a head of the department, deputy chief medical examiner, outpatient deputy manager. From 1989 to 2005, he worked as a head doctor of the hospital.

In November 2005, he was elected Deputy Chairman of the Penza City Duma.

He is Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation. He has Excellent Medical Service badge, badge For contributions to the development of the city of Penza, and For faithful performance of deputy duty.
