Penza, 1 November 2012. PenzaNews. Penza administration did not approve of the meeting of the regional office of the Liberal Democratic Party, which was scheduled for the Day of National Unity, November 4, in the park named after V. Belinsky, and proposed an alternative location — the square by the monument to F. Dzerzhinsky.

According to the regional coordinator of the political party Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Anastasia Koptelova, “such an answer is illegal and unjustified.”

“We see such actions of executive power as an intentional obstruction of propaganda and discredit to the party’s image in the view of Penza electorate,” the agency interlocutor stated.

Anastasia Koptelova explained that the traditional festive meeting in the square opposite the Drama Theatre was to embrace the performance of the regional branch leaders of the party and the concert of creative groups.

“Since the small square by the monument to F. Dzerzhinsky will not be enough for the planned activity with about 500 people, we decided to hold small meetings around the city, including the park named after V. Belinsky with slogans such as “Liberal Democratic Party for the Russians,” “Russians, enough of silence,” “For democracy without discord,” said the regional coordinator.

Anastasia Koptelova added that the Penza branch of LDPR has prepared a complaint to the regional prosecutor’s office and a statement to the regional court concerning the answer of the city administration.
