Vasily Bochkarev noted that at present the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the Penza region accounts for 37% of the gross regional product, whereas in the long term it is expected to increase up to at least 60%.
According to Vasily Bochkarev, unstable development of small business, which is observed in a number of municipalities, has several reasons.
“Either a person who is willing to start his own business cannot venture to do it, because of lack of support from the authority, or he faces administrative barriers when preparing the necessary documents,” the governor said.
“Competent work in terms of small business is a kind of a weapon against poverty, therefore, the authorities pay great attention to this issue and will continue doing this,” he concluded.
