Penza, 12 February 2013. PenzaNews. Residents of the Penza region are currently not ready for demonstrations. This opinion was declared by the political scientists Anatoly Bodrov in an interview with news agency PenzaNews on Tuesday, February 12.

“If people come out to demonstrations, it is called a political protest, and its nature may vary. It may either be political rights, when people come out to protest, for example, on the basis of incorrect counting of the votes, or infringement of social rights. These rights are assigned to particular social groups, which are small in the Penza region,” the agency interlocutor said.

“There is no single idea for all social groups. And even if there is, the groups are so small that they cannot unite,” Anatoly Bodrov pointed out.

He also underlined that at present the Penza region has no determined leaders ready to bring people together.

According to Anatoly Bodrov, a protest translates into Internet discussions.

“This is a discharge, which does not provide for active outburst,” he concluded.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, demonstration in defense of social rights and guarantees of the citizens will be held in the square named after V. Belinsky opposite the Drama Theatre in Penza from 12.00 to 13.00 on Saturday, February 16.

The event, agreed with the authorities, is expected to gather up to one thousand people.
