Penza, 22 February 2013. PenzaNews. Zhigansha Tuktarov was elected a deputy chairman of the Penza City Duma in a secret ballot on a regular session on Friday, February 22. The candidacy of the member of the Liberal Democratic Party was supported by 22 deputies with one deputy against. Speaking about Zhigansha Tuktarov, Penza mayor Yuri Alpatov noted that he is a responsible and competent person, who is able to perform as a chairman of the City Duma in his absence.

“The candidacy of Zhigansha Tuktarov was confirmed by the highest official in the region — governor Vasily Bochkarev and the leadership of the regional branch of the party United Russia,” Yuri Alpatov noted.

According to him, when it comes to systematic and efficient work for the benefit of Penza residents, there should be no political controversy between parties.

Zhigansha Tuktarov thanked all those who voted for him, and promised to justify confidence placed in him.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, Victor Kuvaytsev left the position of the deputy chairman of the Penza City Duma in connection with his appointment as Acting Rector of Penza State Agricultural Academy.
