Penza, 27 February 2013. PenzaNews. The recent appointments of two active members of the Liberal Democratic Party — Anastasia Koptelova and Zhigansha Tuktarov — for positions in Penza regional government will lead to the loss of popularity of the party in the region. This opinion was expressed by the political scientist Anatoly Bodrov in an interview with news agency “PenzaNews.”

According to him, those appointments will lead to the weakening of Liberal Democrats.

“The regional coordinator of the Penza branch of LDPR Anastasia Koptelova will perform the duties of an assistant to the chairman of the regional government, and a member of the Liberal Democratic Party Zhigansha Tuktarov will be the deputy chairman of the City Duma. From my point of view, at the moment there is no one to replace them within the party,” the agency interlocutor said.

Anatoly Bodrov added that by now, the United Russia party has only one serious opponent left in the region — the Communist Party.

“Penza communists still have something to hold on to. They have their deputy in the State Duma and regional faction in Parliament,” he concluded.
