Penza, 13 March 2013. PenzaNews. The resignation of Anton Sharonov, the governor of Serdobsky area administration in the Penza region revealed personnel crisis of the regional branch of the party United Russia, which will only increase in the future. “The decision made at the meeting of representatives of Serdobsky area from the United Russia Party is unprecedented for the region in its essence. I believe that this is some countermeasures of the regional authorities to the growing resentment of the socially active people,” he said.

Georgy Kamnev reminded that several rallies organized by the Communist Party preceded the resignation of Anton Sharonov.

“People are tired of being treated with disrespect. In this situation, the residents of Serdobsk had only one thing to do — go out and demand immediate resignation of the head of administration. Seeing the consolidated position of society, the local United Russia deputies got scared and decided to dismiss Anton Sharonov: today people demand the resignation of the city head, and tomorrow they might ask the deputies to resign,” he added.

Georgy Kamnev also suggested that the members of Penza branch of the United Russia occupying important positions in the party would soon be afraid of each other because “even the party fails to save.”

Penza Communist leader emphasized that the consistent political struggle of united civilian force “improves the authority’s ability to hear, and leads to resignation of scandalous politicians.”

“There are such politicians in Penza. For example, Roman Chernov,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
