Penza, 4 April 2013. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev decided to empower a member of the Legislative Assembly of the region Vladimir Edalov with authority of a member of the Federation Council. This was announced by the head of the governor’s staff department and the government of the region Viktor Rubtsov on Twitter on Thursday, April 4.

“Senatorial authority of a new member of the Federation Council begins from the date of entry into force of the decision by the relevant state authorities of the Russian Federation. Authority of a former member of Federation Council is terminated from the date of entry into force of the decision of the same state authority on empowering a new member of the upper house of parliament — a representative from the same body of state authority of the Russian Federation in accordance with the legislation,” the committee noted.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, on 27 March 2013, the Federation Council terminated authority of Senator Boris Shpigel, who was the representative of the executive body of the Penza region.
