Penza, 10 April 2013. PenzaNews. The first secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party, the member of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Georgy Kamnev sent a letter to governor Vasily Bochkarev with a proposal to set maximum price for vehicles purchased for state and municipal needs in the amount of 600 thousand rubles.
“The Russian Federation has negative examples of acquisition of expensive and luxury vehicles for the needs of municipal and state employees. To avoid such cases in the Penza region, I suggest we set a limit cost for the purchased cars for state and municipal needs – 600 thousand rubles,” reads the letter of the communist deputy, a copy of which is available to news agency “PenzaNews.”
Meanwhile, in early March 2013, the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev reported that he decided to make some officials use busses instead of administrative cars. According to him, the number of such vehicles should be reduced at least by 30% in the nearest future.
