Penza, 15 May 2013. PenzaNews. Penza municipal health camps for children are in need of improvement of material and technical base. This opinion was expressed by the deputy Yuri Zinoviev at the meeting of the Standing Committee on the City Duma on education, health, science, culture and social issues, held on Wednesday, May 15.

“Observations mostly concern the lack of sports equipment. The camps have few horizontal bars, trainers and other sports equipment. It turns out that the children have nothing else to do, but to cross stitch, which is ridiculous,” Yuri Zinoviev said.
He also expressed criticism about the quality of asphalt pavement in summer camps.
“It must be around 30–35 years old, and is naturally in bad condition. In some places, we noticed a drop of up to 25 cm. This is simply inappropriate,” the deputy stressed.
Yuri Zinoviev added that, in addition to the above problems, the catering equipment in one of the camps is in very poor state.
“It has been used, perhaps, for 50 years. At the same time, the solution of the problem is not too expensive — about 250 thousand rubles,” he pointed out.
At the end of the meeting, the City Duma deputy instructed the head of education department of Penza Yuri Golodyaev to make the necessary arrangements and prepare the municipal camps to summer health campaign and ensure the safety of the lives and health of children.
