Penza, 24 May 2013. PenzaNews. The decision of Penza City Duma members to decline the statement of early resignation submitted by mayor Roman Chernov, made during the 51st sessions on Friday, May 24, is politically correct. This opinion was expressed by political expert Anatoly Bodrov.
“I agree with the motivation, voiced by the deputies. I do not understand the reasons of this resignation. Such statements are irresponsible. Roman Chernov is not a director of some private company, he is the head of the city with half a million residents,” the agency interlocutor said.
According to the expert, the responsibility placed upon the head of the city administration does not allow him making hasty and unreasonable decisions.
“We are all aware about the fact that he is in good health. We do not know about his family circumstances. But anyway, this whole mess of coming when he wants and leaving at his own desire — is extremely irresponsible. If someone has questions to Roman Chernov, then on September 15 we are celebrating the 350th anniversary of Penza, and they can audit and check what has been done,” Anatoly Bodrov said.
He also called “abnormal” the situation when Vyacheslav Satin, who served as vice governor, was “pulled off this post” and appointed the first deputy head of administration of Penza.
The expert stressed that Vyacheslav Satin is a professional political officer with extensive experience in administrative work, who can cope with the tasks in any position.
