Penza, 17 June 2013. PenzaNews. The law banning propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships is designed to protect the younger generation. This opinion was expressed by a member of the Federation Council of Russia on constitutional law, justice, development of civil society, the senator from the Penza region Vladimir Pedalov.

“In order to protect the younger generation, we adopted the law introducing administrative responsibility for propaganda of denial of traditional family values among minors,” he said.

According to Vladimir Edalov, protection of the legitimate interests of minors is an important aspect of government policy, one of the goals of which is to protect children and teenagers from the factors that affect their physical, intellectual, spiritual, and moral development in a negative way.

“Administrative responsibility is provided for propaganda of denial of traditional family values among minors. We being legislators must ensure healthy development of children and teenagers in our country,” the press service of the Federation Council quoted the senator.
