Penza, 15 July 2013. PenzaNews. 39 candidates were nominated for participation in by-elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the fifth convocation of the electoral district No. 9 and by-elections of deputies of representative bodies of municipalities to be held on 8 September 2013.

According to the election committee of the Penza region, as of July 11, 22 candidates were registered.

“24 candidates were nominated from the United Russia, 6 candidates — from the Communist Russia, 4 candidates — from the Communist Party, 3 candidates — from the Liberal Democratic Party, one candidate — from the Party of Pensioners, and one non-party candidate,” the department explained.

The election committee noted that 39 candidates applied for 21 deputy mandates.
