Penza, 16 August 2013. PenzaNews. Members and supporters of the Communist Party of Russia will organize a rally against the government’s policies in housing in the square named after F. Dzerzhinsky in Penza on Thursday, August 22.

“The authorities approved the raise of utility rates from July 1. The bills became even higher, and winter utility prices will be sky high. But the biggest “present” for the people was the fact that now they have to pay a bank fee as well, which is 0.5–2% of the total bill,” the First Secretary of Communist Party City Committee Svetlana Isaeva told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She noted that these changes led to public disappointment.

“We expect the meeting will be attended by 300 people, but there may be more, because the theme of housing is important for everyone,” she added.
