Penza governor to transfer his one-day salary to flood victims

Penza, 9 September 2013. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev will transfer his day's salary to help victims of flooding in the Far East. This was announced by the head of the governor’s staff department and the government of the region Viktor Rubtsov on Monday, September 9.

He added that the employees of the government of the Penza region will make similar donations.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, in 2012 the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev reported his income in the amount of 4,762,526 rubles. In addition, each member of the regional government earned at least 1,200 thousand rubles.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev set an example to the officials — he transferred his monthly income to the victims of flood in the Far Eastern Federal District. Voluntary donations have been transferred by the employees of the government of the Russian Federation and the Russian Presidential Administration.
