“On September 8, there will be held by-elections to the City Duma. The authorities have once again shown their true colors. Power outage and as a result disabling of optical scan voting system, crowds of floaters, rudeness of the representatives of Polling Station Commissions and observers of United Russia — this is an incomplete list of “good deeds” of the ruling party,” a message posted on the website of Penza Communists addressed to the city residents states.

“Even with all of these violations, the chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly, the representative of United Russia Ivan Belozertsev says that elections were fair, and the majority of voters supported United Russia! And this is despite at record low turnout of 16%! What kind of trust is the government talking about,” the message follows.

It also calls for the citizens who do not agree with the results of by-elections, to take part in the meeting “For Fair Elections” and also bring their neighbors.

“During the meeting we, communists, will tell about all those who kill public's faith in the possibility to change something in our life through elections,” the message emphasized.
