Penza, 24 October 2013. PenzaNews. The seat of the Orel region governor can be given to the representative of Communist Party of Russian Federation. The secretary of the regional department of the United Russia party, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Ivan Belozertsev expressed this opinion in the course of the open party meeting in the City Duma on Thursday, October 24.

Informing the deputies of the results of the XIV party congress, held in Moscow on October 3–5, the leader of the Penza party mentioned the Orel region as the one, where politicians get into desperate struggle for power to the disadvantage of the people’s interests.

“It’s no wonder why the Orel region is “shrinking.” And now the thing is that even the seat of the governor can be given – it is a political decision – to a representative of CPRF at the election of 2014. You know such practice is possible; it is the Kremlin policy. As I understand, it is reasonable,” Ivan Belozertsev said.

Earlier the media spread information that the Orel region, being motherland of CPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov, can be ruled by a communist.

According to some analysts, the State Duma Deputy from CPRF Yuri Afonin, who has visited Penza for business purposes several times, has a chance to become the governor.
