Penza, 8 November 2013. PenzaNews. Information of investigations of corruption cases should not be revealed to the public until trial. This opinion was expressed by the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev.

“Until corruption cases are brought to court, they should not be actively covered by media. There is not decision issued by the court, the investigation is going on, but the stereotype in the eyes of citizens is already formed about this man being a criminal. We need to alter the course,” the head of the region said, addressing representatives of the law enforcement agencies during a joint meeting of the Council on confronting corruption affiliated to the regional government and the Counter-drugs Committee on Friday, November 8.

“Today it is necessary to correctly use the language and not to accuse people before the court issues a decision. Defense and law enforcement agencies should work more thoughtfully in this direction,” the press service of the government of the Penza region quotes Vasily Bochkarev.
