Penza, 12 November 2013. PenzaNews. A seminar-meeting of the CPRF activists with planned participation of the communists’ leader Gennady Zyuganov to be held in Penza in May 2014. This was reported by the State Duma deputy, the party presidium member and the secretary of Central Committee of CPRF Yuri Afonin during the working visit to the region last Monday, November 11.

According to the deputy, in Penza he discussed the details of the planned event with the governor Vasily Bochkarev and the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Ivan Belozertsev.

“It is planned that Gennady Zyuganov will take part in the seminar-meeting. The event promises to be interesting and intense. Especially since in 2014 we are to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the poet Mikhail Lermontov’s birthday. One of the things we will discuss in the course of the meeting is the economy in the Penza region, where on the one side we can see tremendous construction works, we have been at some sites with the governor today, and on the other side we see destruction, for example, in agriculture,” Yuri Afonin stressed.

According to him, the cause of all the problems in the country is fully subsidized financing.

“Local budgets do not have enough money to pay credit interest, upon that it is municipal budget that should timely render support to people when it is needed,” Yuri Afonin said.

In addition, he remarked that in connection with the coming election to the Penza City Duma the activists of the party should involve new people, create new structures and work with the youth more effectively.

“The coming election will be very difficult for CPRF, but the early start of the election campaign organized in the Penza region by the first secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party Georgy Kamnev and consolidation of our efforts proves that we can succeed,” the deputy of the State Duma of Russia concluded.
