Penza, 2 December 2013. PenzaNews. The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev injured his leg while doing gymnastics.

The minister of public relations and mass communications Alexei Ilika told news agency PenzaNews that the injury is not dangerous, but Yuri Krivov, the chairman of the regional government, will temporarily perform the duties of the governor.

Responding to the question about which sport Vasily Bochkarev was doing when he injured his leg, Alexei Ilika said that he does not know the details.

Along with this, according to the minister, the governor is known for keeping fit.

Vasily Bochkarev is expected to begin work by the end of this week.
