Penza, 16 December 2013. PenzaNews. The initiatives proposed by the political party LDPR (Liberal Democratic Party of Russia) were reflected in the state-of-nation address of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly. It was reported to news agency PenzaNews by Anton Ishchenko, the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation representing LDPR, who is in charge of the Penza and Saratov regions.

“Combating offshore and return of Russian money from abroad – it is a new direction of the development of the national economy, which was defined by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the recent state-of-nation address to the Federal Assembly, and by the deputies of LDPR in the State Duma,” he said.

According to Anton Ishchenko, the anti-offshore bill he developed in cooperation with Maksim Rokhmistrov and submitted to the State Duma in June 2013 still was not considered by the State Duma and literally has not been given any attention.

“If adopted, the bill would close the access of offshore companies not only to budgetary funds, but also to technologies which are now, like taxes, “funneling” to other countries. It is for this reason that the fight for de-offshorization of the Russian economy is hard – all proposals relating to big business, which is used to making money in Russia and lurk in the Cyprus avoiding taxes, are blocked. In the meantime, our country ranked second in the world by the outflow of private capital,” the agency interlocutor said.

Anton Ishchenko also added that Vladimir Putin cited the explanatory note to the bill of LDPR which indicates its high relevance for modern Russia, the need for early implementation of measures against the outflow of capital from the country.

“What other arguments should there be for the bill to be considered in the State Duma? I think that the deputies should make a new year’s gift to the President and all the citizens of Russia and pass the bill that would keep our money in the country,” the State Duma deputy representing LDPR concluded.
