As is it published on the website of the movement, representatives of “Left Front” confirmed their participation in the protest action. However, the number of such activists-“front-liners” is not specified.

In addition, the total number of participants in the meeting against the policy of authorities is unknown yet but, according to some observers, it can be from a few dozens to 500 people.

For instance, only 40 people took part in the protest action “For honest election and decent life,” which was organized by the regional committee of CPRF on 21 January 2012, while on 10 and 14 January 2011 the number of protesters was seven times as many – around 300 people.

The same number of citizens, according to communists, participated in the rally against the growth of housing and communal services rates in September 2012, however, according to the police, the number was considerably less – about 80 people.

Truly mass rally against the socio-economic policy of the authorities was held on 15 December 2012 by Penza communists. Then, according to various estimates, from 400 to 800 people participated in the action. One of the protesters’ demands was resignation of the head of the Penza administration Roman Chernov.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, during the rally on December 21, participants plan to oppose the lawlessness in the housing and communal services, increasing of prices for medication, as well as fee-based education and medicine.

The main demand is for resignation of the city and regional governments.

It is expected that special attention would be drawn to the criminal case initiated against the member of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region representing CPRF Andrei Zuev.
